Infrared Waves

      इंफ्रारेड ट्रांसमिशन का उपयोग कम दूरी वाले कम्युनिकेशन के लिए किया जाता है। इसमें इंफ्रारेड वेव की फ्रीक्वेंसी 300 GHz से 400 THz ’तक होती है। यह इमारत और दिवार को आर-पार नहीं कर सकती है इसलिए यह अधिक दूरी communication के लिए उपयोगी नहीं है। इन तरंगो को मनुष्य देख नहीं सकता है परन्तु skin में heat के रूप में महसूस अवश्य कर सकता है। इनका प्रयोग TV रिमोट कण्ट्रोल, wireless LAN, CCTV तथा मिसाइल गाइडेंस सिस्टम आदि में किया जाता है।

सन् 1800 में सर्वप्रथम सर william herschel ने infrared को विकसित किया था।

 Infrared Waves

                              Infrared transmission is used for short distance communication. In this, the frequency of infrared wave ranges from 300 GHz to 400 THz. It cannot cross buildings and walls, so it is not useful for long distance communication. Man cannot see these waves but can definitely feel them in the form of heat in the skin. These are used in TV remote control, wireless LAN, CCTV and missile guidance system etc.

Sir William Herschel first developed infrared in 1800.
