1. Input device
Data and instructions are entered into a computer through input devices. An input device first converts desired input data and instructions into a suitable binary form(0 and 1) and then feed it into the CPU. The commonly used input device is keyboard.
A number of other input device have been developed that do not require typing these are
Eg. Mouse, Joystick, Light pen, Keyboard, Digital camera, Web cam, Microphone (Mic), Scanner, Track ball, Digitizing tablet, Touch screen, MICR, OCR, BCR, OMR, Card reader, Video camera, Graphic tablet.
इनपुट डिवाइस एक हार्डवेयर डिवाइस है जिसका उपयोग यूजर के द्वारा कंप्यूटर को command देने के लिए किया जाता है। इस डिवाइस की मदद से यूजर कंप्यूटर को कमांड देता है और कंप्यूटर से output data प्राप्त करता है।

i. Keyboard:-
Program and data are entered into a computer through a keyboard which is attached to a computer. When a key is pressed, an electronic signal is produced which is detected by an electronic circuit called keyboard encoder.
प्रोग्राम और डेटा को कंप्यूटर में एक कीबोर्ड के माध्यम से दर्ज किया जाता है जो कंप्यूटर से जुड़ा होता है। जब एक कुंजी को दबाया जाता है, तो एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सिग्नल का उत्पादन किया जाता है जिसे कीबोर्ड एनकोडर नामक एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सर्किट द्वारा पता लगाया जाता है।
ii. Mouse:-
A mouse is a pointing device, which is held in one hand and moved across a flat surface. The mouse can also be used to draw sketches, diagrams, etc. on the monitor screen.
माउस एक पॉइंटिंग डिवाइस है, जिसे एक हाथ में पकड़कर समतल सतह पर घुमाया जाता है। माउस का उपयोग मॉनिटर स्क्रीन पर स्केच, आरेख, आदि खींचने के लिए भी किया जा सकता है।
iii. Joystick
A joystick is also a pointing device. It is used to move the cursor position on a monitor screen. It’s function is similar to that of a mouse and is used for playing games.
जॉयस्टिक एक पॉइंटिंग डिवाइस भी है। इसका उपयोग मॉनिटर की स्क्रीन पर कर्सर की स्थिति को स्थानांतरित करने के लिए किया जाता है। यह फ़ंक्शन माउस के समान है और गेम खेलने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है।
iv. Scanner
A scanner is a hardware device which is used to scan text or image into the computer. Sometimes the information, picture or text that is available on paper is needed on the computer. The basic function of scanner is to convert a document into a digital format.
एक स्कैनर एक हार्डवेयर डिवाइस है जिसका उपयोग कंप्यूटर में टेक्स्ट या इमेज को स्कैन करने के लिए किया जाता है। कभी-कभी सूचना, चित्र या पाठ जो कि कागज पर उपलब्ध होता है, उसकी आवश्यकता कंप्यूटर पर होती है। स्कैनर का मूल कार्य एक दस्तावेज़ को एक डिजिटल प्रारूप में परिवर्तित करना है।
v. Web cameras
Web camera allows to a computer to accept input just by focusing on an object. The camera is focused on the input object to take a picture of the object. Picture so taken can be transferred over computer network to a distant place.
वेब कैमरा एक कंप्यूटर को एक वस्तु पर ध्यान केंद्रित करके इनपुट को स्वीकार करने की अनुमति देता है । कैमरा ऑब्जेक्ट की तस्वीर लेने के लिए इनपुट ऑब्जेक्ट पर केंद्रित है । ली गई तस्वीर को कंप्यूटर नेटवर्क पर दूर स्थान पर स्थानांतरित किया जा सकता है।
vi. Trackball
Trackball is also a pointing device and contains a ball which can rotate in any direction .the user spins the ball in different directions to move the cursor on the monitor.
ट्रैकबॉल भी एक पॉइंटिंग डिवाइस है और इसमें एक गेंद होती है जो किसी भी दिशा में घूम सकती है। उपयोगकर्ता मॉनिटर पर कर्सर ले जाने के लिए गेंद को अलग-अलग दिशाओं में घुमाता है।
vii. Light pen
A light pen is a pointing device. It is used to select a displayed menu option on the monitor. It is a photo sensitive pen like device. It is capable of sensing a position on the monitor screen when it is tip touches the screen.
लाइट पेन एक पॉइंटिंग डिवाइस है। इसका उपयोग मॉनिटर पर प्रदर्शित मेनू विकल्प का चयन करने के लिए किया जाता है। यह डिवाइस की तरह एक फोटो संवेदनशील पेन है। यह मॉनिटर स्क्रीन पर स्थिति को महसूस करने में सक्षम है जब यह टिप टच स्क्रीन है।
viii. OMR (Optical Mark Reader):-
Optical Mark Readers are special scanners used for recognizing a pre- specified type of mark made by pencil or pen. OMR focuses light on the page being examined and the light pattern reflected from the dark marks is then detected.
ऑप्टिकल मार्क रीडर पेंसिल या पेन द्वारा बनाए गए पूर्व-निर्दिष्ट प्रकार के चिह्न को पहचानने के लिए उपयोग किए जाने वाले विशेष स्कैनर हैं। OMR जांच की जा रही पृष्ठ पर प्रकाश केंद्रित है और अंधेरे निशान से परिलक्षित प्रकाश पैटर्न तो पता चला है।
ix. BCR (Bar Code Reader):-
Bar code readers are special devices used to read bar coded data. Bar code is a specialized code used for fast identification of items. It consists of a series of small lines, known as bars. These are primarily used for identification of goods, such as books, postal packages, badges, etc.
बार कोड रीडर विशेष उपकरण हैं जिनका उपयोग बार कोडेड डेटा को पढ़ने के लिए किया जाता है। बार कोड वस्तुओं की तेज़ पहचान के लिए उपयोग किया जाने वाला एक विशेष कोड है। इसमें छोटी लाइनों की एक श्रृंखला होती है, जिसे बार के रूप में जाना जाता है। इनका उपयोग मुख्य रूप से सामानों की पहचान के लिए किया जाता है, जैसे किताबें, डाक पैकेज, बैज आदि।
x. MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition):-
MICR detects the special encoded characters on bank cheques and deposit slips. After detecting the encoded characters, the MICR converts them into digital data for the computer.
एमआईसीआर बैंक चेक और जमा पर्ची पर विशेष एन्कोडेड अक्षर का पता लगाता है। एन्कोडेड वर्णों का पता लगाने के बाद, MICR उन्हें कंप्यूटर के लिए डिजिटल डेटा में परिवर्तित करता है।
xi. OCR (Optical Character Reader):-
This device is capable of detecting alphabetic and numeric characters on a computer print-out containing complete pages of typed or hand-written text.
यह डिवाइस टाइप किए गए या हाथ से लिखे पाठ के पूर्ण पृष्ठों वाले कंप्यूटर प्रिंट-आउट पर वर्णमाला और संख्यात्मक वर्णों का पता लगाने में सक्षम है।
xii. Microphone:-
It is a kind of Input device which is used to take sound as input. We do connect it with the jack port of the computer system at the front or rear panel of the system and use it.
यह एक तरह का इनपुट डिवाइस है जिसका इस्तेमाल इनपुट के रूप में साउंड लेने के लिए किया जाता है। हम इसे सिस्टम के फ्रंट या रियर पैनल पर कंप्यूटर सिस्टम के जैक पोर्ट से जोड़ते हैं और इसका उपयोग करते हैं।
