About Lesson

WWW (World Wide Web):-

The world wide web is the part of the Internet that contains websites and webpages. It was invented in 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. It is basically a system of Interne servers that supports specially formatted documents. The documents are formatted in a markup language called Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) that supports links to other documents as well as graphics, audio and video files.

The WWW is essentially a huge client-server system with millions of servers distributed worldwide. Each server maintains a collection of documents; each document is stored as a file. The server accepts requests for fetching a document and transfers it to the client.
