WHAT IS HTML?

HTML एक मार्कअप लैंग्वेज है, जिसे “Hypertext Markup Language” कहा जाता है। यह Web Pages बनाने में सबसे ज्यादा इस्तेमाल की जाती है। HTML लैंग्वेज का यूज करके हम Web Browser को यह समझाते है, कि एक वेब पेज का कंटेंट यूजर को कैसा दिखना चाहिए। HTML का full form “Hypertext Markup Language” होता है। यह एक standard markup language है जिसका इस्तेमाल Web-page या website create करने के लिए किया जाता है। HTML में website या web-page design करने के लिए बहुत सारे tags available होते हैं जिसकी मदद से हम web-page design कर सकते हैं|          Hypertext और Markup यह दो अलग शब्द है।

• Hypertext का मतलब होता है की “एक text के अन्दर दूसरा text” किसी भी text में लिंक available रहता है उसे Hypertext कहा जाता है| आपने बहुत सारे web-pages में देखा होगा की कुछ लिंक available रहते हैं जिस पर click करने के बाद हम किसी दुसरे page पर चले जाते हैं उस text को Hyper text कहा जाता है|
• Markup Language किसी भी Web Page के Structure को बनाने के काम में आती है। उदाहरण के लिए आप एक वेब पेज में Paragraph, Heading, Table और bullet Points इत्यादि क्रिएट कर सकते है, साथ ही Images और Videos को भी एम्बेड कर सकते है।

HTML की खोज सन 1991 में Tim Berners Lee ने की थी

Note:- HTML के अलावा BBC, DHTML, SGML, XML, etc. भी Markup language है। परन्तु इन सभी में HTML सबसे अधिक लोकप्रिय है।

WHAT IS HTML

HTML provides a way of displaying Web pages with text and images or multimedia content. HTML is not a programming language, but a markup language. An HTML file is a text file containing small markup tags. The markup tags tell the Web browser, such as Mozila Firefox or Google Chrome, how to display the page. An HTML file must have an htm or html file extension. HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML is the standard markup language for creating web pages developed by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991.

It used by the browser to manipulate text, images and other content to display it in required format. Each page contains a series of connections to other pages called hyperlinks. The HTML standard and all other web related standards are developed under the authority of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
