History of Internet

• Internet का अविष्कार किसी एक व्यक्ति ने नहीं किया। इंटरनेट का अविष्कार करने में बहुत से scientist, प्रोफेसर का हाथ है। इंटरनेट की शुरुवात वर्ष 1969 में हुआ था। सयुंक्तराष्ट अमेरिका की सेना ने युद्ध की स्थिति में संचार व्यवस्था को सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए इंटरनेट का निर्माण किया था।
• इस दौरान अमेरिका दवारा ARPANET (Advance Research Project Agency Network) नामक एक नेटवर्क को Develop किया। जिसका मकसद कंप्यूटर व्यवस्था को नेटवर्क से जोड़ना था। जो धीरे- धीरे कम्युनिकेशन नेटवर्क में बदल गया। इसका इस्तेमाल सेना और शोधकर्ता करने लगे।
• Internet नेटवर्क का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए स्टैण्डर्ड प्रोटोकॉल के समूह को विकसित किया गया जिसके माध्यम से लोग एक दूसरे से कम्युनिकेशन बना सके और डाटा को एक दूसरे से शेयर कर सके।
• वर्ष 1980 में नेशनल साइंस फाउंडेशन (NSFNet) ने हाई स्पीड कंप्यूटर को जोड़कर एक नेटवर्क तैयार किया। जिसके बाद में इसका नाम इंटरनेट हो गया।
• वर्ष 1991 में स्विट्ज़रलैंड में सेण्टर फॉर यूरोपियन नूक्लियर रीसर्च (CERN)में पहली बार Web को प्रदर्शित किया गया। इस से पहले इंटरनेट में केवल Text का इस्तेमाल किया जाता था।
• सबसे पहले ‘Vinton Gray Cerf‘ और ‘Bob Kanh‘ नाम के दो साइंटिस्ट के द्दारा साल 1970 में इंटरनेट की शुरुआत की गई थी। इसलिए इन्हें इंटरनेट का जनक भी कहा जाता है।

History of Internet

• The Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) in the Department of Defense (DoD) of US government was initially desired to connect its computers so that researchers could share the resources.
• In 1967, ARPA presented its idea for ARPANET, a small network of computers. The idea was in short that each host computer would be attached to a specialized computer called IMP (Interface Message Processor) to create network.
• By 1969, ARPANET connected four nodes – the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), Stanford Research Institute (SRI) and the University of UTAH via IMPs to form a network.
• Then, a team of defense engineers at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) sent the first every instant message successfully via computer to another team thousands of miles away at Stanford.
• The technology continued to grow. In the 1970, after scientist Robert Kahn and Vinton Cerf developed TCP/IP, a communication model that set standard for how data could be transmitted between multiple networks.
• ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on Jan 1st, 1983 and from there researchers began assemble the networks of network that became modern Internet gradually.
• The online world then took on a more recognizable form in 1990 when computer scientist Tim Berners Lee invented WWW (World Wide Web).WWW popularized the Internet among public.
