Introduction of Internet

• इंटरनेट दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा नेटवर्क है जो पूरी दुनिया में फैला रहता है. इंटरनेट को हिंदी में ‘अंतरजाल’ कहते हैं.
• दूसरे शब्दों में कहें तो, “इंटरनेट एक वैश्विक (global) नेटवर्क है जिसमें बहुत सारें कंप्यूटर आपस में एक दूसरे के साथ जुड़े रहते हैं.”
• इंटरनेट बहुत सारें छोटे नेटवर्कों का एक समूह होता है इसलिए इंटरनेट को ‘नेटवर्कों का नेटवर्क’ भी कहा जाता है.
• इंटरनेट एक वाइड एरिया नेटवर्क (WAN) है जिसमें डाटा को एक जगह से दूसरी जगह भेजने के लिए इंटरनेट प्रोटोकॉल (IP) का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है.
• Internet का पूरा नाम ‘Interconnected Network (इंटरकनेक्टेड नेटवर्क)’ होता है.
• आप दुनिया में किसी भी कोने पर पर मौजूद हो, आप इंटरनेट का इस्तेमाल करके कोई भी जानकारी आसानी से प्राप्त कर सकते हैं.
• इंटरनेट ‘क्लाइंट सर्वर आर्किटेक्चर’ पर कार्य करता है. वह व्यक्ति जो इंटरनेट पर मौजूद information (सूचना) का प्रयोग करता है उसे क्लाइंट कहा जाता है और वह कंप्यूटर जिसमें यह सूचना स्टोर रहती है उसे सर्वर कहा जाता है.

• The Internet is a globally connected network system that uses TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol) model to transmit data via various types of media (wired or wireless).
• It is a network of networks (Inter – Networking).
• It is network of global exchanges including private, public, business, academic, government etc. networks connected together.
• Millions of millions people are users of Internet.
• It has complex combination of several technologies and services used around the world every day.
