माइक्रोप्रोसेसर एक इंटीग्रेटेड सर्किट (IC) होता है। जिसमें सेंट्रल प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट (CPU) होता है। माइक्रो प्रोसेसर को प्रोसेसर, सेंट्रल प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट (सी.पी.यू.) “चिप” के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।यह कंप्यूटर का brain है और कंप्यूटर में होने वाला सारा का सारा काम उस पर निर्भर है।processor सिर्फ कंप्यूटर ही नहीं, कैलकुलेटर से लेकर घड़ियों और टेलीविजन तक हरइलेक्ट्रानिक उपकरण में किसी न किसी प्रकार का माइक्रोप्रोसेसर लगा होताहै।कंप्यूटर को दिया जाने वाला हर instruction माइक्रोप्रोसेसर के पास पहुंचता है और वह डाटा प्रोसेसिंग करता है।माइक्रोप्रोसेसर माइक्रो चिप होता है जो मदर बोर्ड पर लगा होता है | माइक्रोप्रोसेसर का उपयोगमोबाइल, कम्प्यूटर, लेपटॉप, आदि में किया जाता है।
प्रोसेसर की power गीगाहर्टज (GHz) पर निर्भर करती है, यानि जो प्रोससेरजितने ज्यादा गीगाहर्टज (GHz) का होगा उतनी ही तेजी से calculation करेगा। सूक्ष्म माइक्रो ट्रांज़िस्टरों का इंटीग्रेटेड रूप ही माइक्रो प्रोसेसर होता है। वर्तमान में इसकी क्षमता को जनरेशन के रूप में दर्शाया जाता है। जैसे 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th जनरेशन आदि।वर्तमान में इसके प्रकारो को Dual core, I3 ,I5 तथा I7 के माध्यम से दर्शाया जाता है।माइक्रो प्रोसेसर सेमीकंडक्टर मैटेरियल का बना होताहै जैसे ,सिलिकॉन ,जर्मेनियम। माइक्रोप्रोसेसर के अविष्कारक Marcian Hoff तथा उनकी टीम थी।माइक्रोप्रोसेसर की स्पीड को GHz में मापा जाता है।प्रोसेसर बनाने वाली मुख़्य कंपनी इंटेल तथा AMD हैं।

It is the brain of the computer and all the work done in the computer depends on it. Processor is only the computer. No, every electronic device, from calculators to watches and televisions, has some type of microprocessor installed in it. Every instruction given to the computer reaches the microprocessor and it does the data processing. Microprocessor is a micro chip which is installed on the mother board. It happens. Microprocessor is used in mobiles, computers, laptops, etc.
The power of the processor depends on the gigahertz (GHz), that is, the more gigahertz (GHz) the processor has, the faster it will perform calculations. Micro processor is the integrated form of micro transistors. Currently its capacity is expressed in terms of generation. Like 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th generation etc. Currently its types are represented through Dual core, I3, I5 and I7. Microprocessor is made of semiconductor material like silicon, germanium. The inventors of the microprocessor were Marcian Hoff and his team. The speed of the microprocessor is measured in GHz. The main companies making processors are Intel and AMD.
