Ransomware एक किस्म का Malware (virus) है जो की डिवाइस (कंप्यूटर, लैपटॉप या मोबाइल) में आते ही उसे पूरी तरह लॉक कर देता है। डिवाइस लॉक होते ही आपके डिवाइस का पूरा डाटा और फाइल्स हैकर (जिसने वायरस भेजा है) उसके पास होता है। एक बार Ransomware डिवाइस में आ जाए तो उसके बाद user अपने डिवाइस की कोई भी चीज access नहीं कर सकता। Ransomware virus आने के बाद आप अपने सिस्टम को चाहे जितनी बार on या off कर ले आपके सिस्टम पर सिर्फ “Pay to Unlock” का ही मैसेज आ रहा होता है। ऐसे में डाटा को बचने के लिए आपको हैकर द्वारा मांगी गई आपके डाटा के फिरौती की रकम चुकानी ही पड़ती है।

Ransomware is a type of Malware (virus) which completely locks the device (computer, laptop or mobile) as soon as it enters it. As soon as the device is locked, the entire data and files of your device are with the hacker (who has sent the virus). Once Ransomware enters the device, the user cannot access anything on his device. After the arrival of Ransomware virus, no matter how many times you turn on or off your system, only the message “Pay to Unlock” is coming on your system. In such a situation, to save the data, you have to pay the ransom amount for your data demanded by the hacker.
